A discriminatory housing ad was removed from an online site after Native residents of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, complained.

The headline boasted of a three-bedroom house for rent but "no natives please." The text in the ad stated that the landlord "will not consider aboriginals."

Kijiji removed the posting after learning of its racist content. "This is indeed offensive, not to mention against the law, so we have deleted the ad from Kijiji," the popular classified ads site told CBC News.

CBC emailed the person who posted the ad but hasn't received a response.

Nearly 39 percent of the population in Prince is Native, according to Statistics Canada. It is the third-largest city in the province of Saskatchewan.
