The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in Michigan continues efforts to diversify its economy.

The tribe's Mno-Bmadsen just acquired D.A. Dodd Inc., a mechanical trade contractor with operations in Indiana and Michigan. The business offers plumbing, heating, cooling, refrigeration, industrial process piping installation, design/build and other services for commercial, industrial and institutional customers.

“The acquisition of D.A. Dodd represents the Pokagon Band’s ongoing commitment to the region through investments, job creation, and diversification of our tribal economy,” Chairnan John P. Warren said in a press release.

David A. Dodd, the company's chief executive officer, and Mark McKnight, president, will continue their roles as part of Mno-Bmadsen. The firm previously worked on casino construction projects for the tribe.
