Two Potawatomi tribes in Michigan and Wisconsin have formed a new business.

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in Michigan and the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe from Wisconsin are joining forces on the design and construction venture. The business will provide a wide range of services to federal, state and local agencies.

Th design part will come from Seven Generations Architecture & Engineering, a business owned by the Pokagon Band. Greenfire Management Services, owned by the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe, brings construction expertise.

“Our two firms share similar core values and operating philosophies,” Greenfire President Kip Ritchie said in a press release. “Like Greenfire, 7GenAE excels at delivering projects that are sustainable and energy efficient, while positively impacting the local community and supporting the socially responsible efforts of the architectural, engineering and construction industry.”

“We look forward to collaborating with Greenfire on a broad range of projects for both public and private clients," added Troy Clay, the CEO of 7GenAE's parent company Mno-Bmadsen. Our overarching philosophy is unwavering. Excellence in architectural planning and design, civil engineering, and construction, no matter the project, is achieved only through holistic collaboration that maximizes value for clients, users and the public.”
