The La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians this weekend will debut what is believed to be the longest zip line in California. The $2 million La Jolla Zip Zoom ZipLine offers four experiences for thrill-seekers. The longest segment runs 2,500 feet at a height of 3,000 feet above sea level, offering dramatic views of the reservation landscape. Together, there are more than a mile and quarter of track. A full trip takes about 2 1/2 hours, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. “It’s an incredible experience,” Secretary Adam Geisle told the paper. The tribe hopes the zip line will bring even more tourists to the reservation. Vice Chairman Fred Nelson said about 120,000 people come every year to a popular campground there. Driving-wise, the zip line and campground are located about 1.5 hours from San Diego, 2 hours from Palm Springs and 2.5 Hours from Los Angeles. Get the Story:
