The Osage Nation acquired three commercial properties in downtown Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

The properties include the building of the historic First National Bank, where the tribe already maintains offices. Also purchased were a former pharmacy and a former restaurant.

"We need to start paying ourselves rent instead of other people," Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear said in a press release.

The total purchase price was $272,283, the tribe said.
