The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin is celebrating the expansion of its bank.

The tribe opened the first branch office of Bay Bank on Tuesday. It's located at 2550 W. Mason St in Green Bay.

“This is one of the few tribal-owned banks and this is a proud success of the Oneida Tribe,” Chairwoman Cristina Danforth said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported.

The tribe started Bay Bank in 1995 and became the sole owner in 2000. The institution holds nearly $85 million in assets, according to the tribe.
