The Crow Tribe of Montana is blaming its adopted son for furloughs of an estimated 100 employees. Chairman Darrin Old Coyote said energy policies advanced by President Barack Obama have hurt the tribe's coal revenues. So some employees will be out of work during the first quarter of 2016. "Our Cabinet Head and Directors are faced with reducing their budget to make it through this quarter," Old Coyote said at an employee welcome back party on Friday, Crow Nation News reported. "We do have funds out there but, will not be available in time. As a result, there will be wage reductions, and other steps taken to make sure the furlough will not last long.” The Black Eagle family from the tribe adopted Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign. He even referred to himself as "President Barack Black Eagle" during the seventh annual White House Tribal Nations Conference in Washington, D.C., last November. Get the Story:
