Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation creates $1.2M endowment at ASU

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation created a $1.2 million endowment to support Native American law students at Arizona State University.

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Endowment benefits Native students at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. It will provide scholarships, grants and other programs.

“The Indian Legal Program at ASU has always provided first-class training to Native American attorneys, and the nation’s gift will ensure that it will continue to do so for many years to come," President Ruben Balderas said in a press release.

The Indian Legal Program at ASU was established in 1988.
