Indigenous Fine Art Market announces first show on East Coast

The Indigenous Fine Art Market is expanding.

After putting on two shows in New Mexico, IFAM is announcing its first event on the East Coast IFAM EAST will take place May 21-22 at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, located on the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in Connecticut.

“The Indigenous Fine Art Market is a celebration for both the artist and visitor. The vitality present at IFAM is unique and special," President John Torres Nez, a member of the Navajo Nation, said in a press release. "We are thrilled to introduce IFAM to the East Coast.”

Indigenous artists from all over the world are invited to submit applications for the show, which is being produced in a partnership between the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center and the Northeast Indigenous Art Alliance. Applications are due February 6.
