A $125,000 donation from the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians will benefit firefighters in Tehama County, California. The Corning Fire Station 12 will use the money to buy a new rescue squad vehicle. The station serves the tribal and local community. "This grant continues our tradition of partnering with our community to make Tehama County a safer, healthier place to live,” Vice Chair Latisha Miller said in a press release. The tribe made the donation through CalFire, the state's fire protection agency. Get the Story:
