Deaths reported after explosion at home on Pine Ridge Reservation

An explosion at a home on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota has resulted in four deaths, according to news reports.

The explosion occurred on Thursday afternoon, according to the reports. Four people -- an elderly man and elderly woman, along with two young women -- were killed and several others were injured, KOTA-TV reported.

The explosion destroyed both units of a duplex, Newscenter1 reported. The station attributed the explosion to propane gas.
