Tent on Torres-Martinez Reservation to stay up
Friday, April 2, 2004

A church group has been given more time to show that a 10,000-square-foot tent it erected on the Torres-Martinez Reservation in California meets local and tribal approval.

Global Church put up the tent as a command center as part of a project to house homeless farmworkers. Tribal and county officials demanded its removal but have agreed to meet with the church next week.

The tent is located on privately-held land within the reservation.
