N.D. tribal elders want to monitor bison herd

Elders of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota want to set up a committee to monitor the tribe's bison herd.
The tribe is under scrutiny due to allegations of mismanagement of the herd. The tribal council will take up the issue at a special meeting later this month.
For the past two years, a number of animals have died but the exact numbers and cause are in dispute. Some say the bison program is neglecting the herd.
