Miccosukee Tribe challenges state on Everglades

The Miccosukee Tribe and environmental groups have filed a challenge to the state of Florida's new Everglades pollution rule.

The rule sets a limit on the amount of phosphorous in Everglades water. But the tribe and the environmentalists say it contains loopholes that allow the state to bypass the limit.

Phosphorous is a chemical found in fertilizer. Critics say it is destroying the Everglades.

The sugar industry is also challenging the rule, saying it is too strict.
