The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is offering reservation youth a way to stay out of trouble and have fun during the summer.

Five years ago, the tribe started a midnight basketball program. Anywhere from 50 to 200 kids come out for a night of sports, food and music.

Tribal police say the program has an impact. When the games are in session, calls drop off, they say.
