S.D. tribal college awarded NASA technology grant

Sinte Gleska University on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota has been awarded a $5 million technology grant from NASA.

The college will use the funds to create a new Institute on Tribal Lands. The project will merge Lakota knowledge and culture with geo-spatial technology to help tribes make decisions to protect and enhance their lands.
