Man charged with Anna Mae's murder asks for trial delay
Wednesday, September 10, 2003
One of the two men charged with murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash is asking to delay his upcoming trial.
Arlo Looking Cloud is scheduled to go to trial September 30 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
His lawyer says he needs more time to review documents and other evidence.
Pictou-Aquash was taken from a home in Denver, Colorado, in late 1975. She was found dead on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota in February 1976.
