The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina held a public hearing on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming budget.

The $11.1 million budget includes three new positions but no raises for staff. The tribe uses federal and state grants to provide services.

The tribe is state recognized and is hoping to gain federal status through Congress.
