Democrat lawyer to challenge Campbell in '04
Wednesday, September 24, 2003

Brad Freedberg, a Denver lawyer, has entered the race to challenge Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.) in the 2004 election.

Freedberg, 39, says Campbell is not an effective lawmaker. He joins Mike Miles in opposing the only American Indian in the Senate.

Campbell has not formally announced his re-election plans but has been raising money for the upcoming race.
