Editorial: Equal treatment in S.D. justice system
Thursday, September 25, 2003

South Dakota's justice system has a problem because Native Americans are treated differently, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader says in editorial.

The paper says studies show a disparity in the justice system. "But why? Is it racial discrimination? Or is it something else?" the paper asks.

The paper supports additional studies to answer some of these questions. "But we also need to be ready to make changes," the paper says.
