Tribes run ads against Schwarzenegger

First Americans for a Better California, a political committee formed by two tribes, debuted television ads on Tuesday criticizing actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the leading Republican in the state's recall race.

One ad directly responds to Schwarzenegger criticism of tribal spending on politics. The second supports Democrat Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante and Republican state Sen. Tom McClintock. The third promotes tribal contributions to the state.

The committee was formed by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians and the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians. Pechanga chairman Mark Macarro is featured in all three ads.
