Eastern Cherokee court to rule on voting cases
Friday, October 3, 2003

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Supreme Court will issue rulings in voting rights and election cases today, The Asheville Citizen Times reports.

The cases affect absentee voters, who decided last month's election for the office of principal chief and three council seats. Another concerns whether a council member can be ousted from office as he undergoes impeachment proceedings.
