Spokane Tribe seeks compensation for dam

New legislation would compensate the Spokane Tribe of Washington for damage caused by the Grand Coulee Dam.

The dam destroyed salmon runs and flooded tribal lands. The tribe would be compensated on an amount based on a $53 million settlement awarded to the Colville Confederated Tribes.
