Mashantucket Pequot chairman to seek another term

The chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut said he is running for re-election.

Michael J. Thomas has led the tribe since January. He wants to serve another three years.

Thomas also issued a challenge a rival political group that wants to reform the tribal government and make it more open to tribal members. The rival group is supporting vice chairman Richard A. �Skip� Hayward.
