An official with the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians says a school district's decision to refuse the tribe's money is political.

The tribe donated to three schools. But the El Dorado Union High School District said it wouldn't accept the money for now.

Indian Diggings School will receive $4,000 for a financial literacy program and Herbert C. Green School will receive $5,850 to hire a counselor for students.
