The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana are seeking public comments about a waste management plan.

Tribal officials are concerned because a local landfill is shutting down next year. The management plan lays out several options, including the possibility of transporting tribal waste to an off-reservation site, for consideration by the public.

The plan lays out estimated costs for each alternative.
