Restaurants incorporate Native foods into menus
Thursday, November 13, 2003

Native Seeds/SEARCH, an organization dedicated to conserving and distributing seeds used by tribes, is supplying seeds to restaurants in Arizona.

Kai, the restaurant at the Gila River Tribe's resort, uses ingredients grown from seeds preserved by the organization. Kai is the Pima word for seed. The restaurant chef de cuisine is a member of San Juan Pueblo in New Mexico.
