The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut plans to place a burial ground and memorial park at the site of a former Masonic Temple in Norwich.

The tribe plans to repatriate ancestors and give them a proper burial at the site. The park will feature a memorial to Chief Uncas.

The tribe bought the temple for $1.1 million. It was built on top of an old tribal burial ground.
