Janklow links diabetes to fatal car accident
Friday, November 21, 2003
Rep. Bill Janklow (R-S.D.), former governor of South Dakota, won't talk about his diabetes because it is related to his felony manslaughter case, The Rapid City Journal reports.
Janklow's silence raises the possibility that he will use his diabetes as a defense, the paper says.
Diabetics often suffer from fatigue, confusion and other loss of functions, a doctor contacted by the paper says.
Janklow is accused of killing a man in an August 16 car accident.
