Money flow problems fuel recall attempt at Tulalip
Wednesday, December 3, 2003

The Tulalip Tribes of Washington have revoked a $1,000 per capita payment to members and are having trouble paying some bills.

State Rep. John McCoy, a tribal member and spokesperson, said the tribe has encountered higher costs associated with its newly expanded casino. But others say tribal leaders are mismanaging casino profits and have launched a recall of Tulalip chairman Herman Williams Jr.

The tribes owe a local pharmacy $17,000 for unpaid medication.
