Wes Clark campaign announces Indian Country support

Prominent Indian leaders and several former members of the Clinton administration are among the supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark, his campaign announced on Monday.
Peterson Zah, former president of the Navajo Nation; Vernon Masayesva, former chairman of the Hopi Tribe; and Yvette Joseph-Fox, the former executive director of the National Indian Health Board, are backing the retired Army general.
Several Clinton appointees from the Department of Interior and the National Indian Gaming Commission also said they support Clark. They include former assistant secretary Kevin Gover, former deputy assistant secretary Michael Anderson, former Bureau of Indian Affairs aide Loretta Tuell, former NIGC commissioner Liz Homer and former solicitor Deril Jordan.
