BIA holding No Child Left Behind meetings
TUESDAY, JULY 1, 2003 The Bureau of Indian Affairs is holding three meetings to discuss the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act for Indian Country. The meetings are for the negotiated rule-making committee that was formed by the education reform act. A group of federal and Indian educators is developing regulations to carry out the act's goals. The next three meetings will take place July 14-18, 2003 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; August 21-24 in Seattle, Washington; and September 15-19 in Nashville, Tennessee.
