FBI protests Peltier today
DECEMBER 15, 2000

Hundreds of FBI agents plan a procession in Washington, DC, today, taking their opposition to the potential release of Leonard Peltier directly to the White House.

The agents plan on delivering a letter to President Bill Clinton, protesting clemency for Peltier. On Good Morning America today, John Sennett, president of the FBI Agents Association, said about 9,000 former and current law enforcement around the country have signed the letter.

Also appearing on the program was Jennifer Harbury, a lawyer for Peltier.

Clinton is expected to issue a decision on Peltier soon.
