WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2002 The Republican party raised $33 million at a fund-raiser in Washington, D.C., last night. President Bush spoke to about 1,200 top donors, some of whom were large corporations which contributed $250,000 each. Included were Chevron, Microsoft and Philip Morris. The contributions were "soft money" donations which will be banned this November under a bill signed by Bush. Get the Story:
