The chairman of the Turtle Mountain Ojibwe Tribe of North Dakota is being locked out of office.

Richard Monette says he is being targeted because he has uncovered mismanagement problems and potential violations of law. He and secretary-treasurer Will Grant, who is also wanted removed, have been investigating tribal activities.

Some members of the council asked a tribal judge to restrain Monette from tribal offices. The judge recommended he be kept out.
