Documents the White House released to a Congressional committee details greater ties to bankrupt company Enron that Bush administration officials previously acknowledged, according to The Washington Post.

While the White House brushed off information about the company's collapse, the documents show that senior advisers to President Bush were closely informed about the situation. Calls, meetings and discussions point to great concern about the firm's fall on the administration.

Enron was a major contributor to Bush's campaign. Some Enron executives joined various federal agencies.
