Scientists oppose Norton wolf plan

FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2002 A group of scientists is opposing a Department of Interior plan to turn management of the gray wolf to states. The 48 scientists and conservationists wrote a letter to Secretary Gale Norton to protest the proposal affecting Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. They said the wolf would be targeted for death in some states. Get the Story:
