Greenhouse gas problems admitted

MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2002

The Environmental Protection Agency released the final version of its "Climate Action" report to the United Nations this year.

The report cites numerous problems faced as the result of the so-called greenhouse gases. Included are rising temperatures and destruction of ecosystems.

The report, however, does not recommend changes in policy, such as reducing gas emissions, to combat these foreseen problems.

The report was posted on the EPA's web site without an announcement.
