The Department of Interior and Department of Commerce have finalized the biological opinions for the Klamath Basin.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service opinion (linked below) concludes that the plan jeopardizes two fish considered sacred to the Klamath Tribes. To get around this, the Bureau of Reclamation devised a "reasonable and prudent alternative," which will allow water to be delivered to non-Indian farmers and used for the species, according to the agency.
