Creek site considered 'in peril'

MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2002 Poarch Creek chairman Eddie Tullis is accusing the state of Alabama of unfairly targeting his tribe. The state Historical Commission placed an ancient Creek site on its "Places in Peril" list last month. The state says the 12 and one-half acre site faces damage by the tribe's proposed casino. Tullis said the tribe won't harm burial grounds and other artifacts. Get the Story:
