EPA to ease coal pollution rules

The Environmental Protection Agency is relaxing air pollution rules governing aging coal-burning power plants.

Administration sources told the AP an announcement could come today. They said the rules will make it easier for the industry to upgrade plants without complying with the strict standards implemented during the Clinton administration.
