Iowa tribe disputes consulting pact

THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 2002 A dispute between the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa and a former consulting is headed back to the state court system. The tribe signed a five-year agreement with Lowell Junkins, a former state senator, but suspended it. Junkins sued and was awarded $1.2 million by an arbitration panel, which the tribe sought to overturn in federal court. Get the Story:
