DOI given greater role in Everglades

A House subcommittee has approved language in a funding bill to give the Department of Interior a great role in the restoration of the Florida Everglades.

The bill gives the Interior an equal role with the Army Corps of Engineers and the state of Florida. The action drew disinterest from an attorney for the Miccosukee Tribe.
