Mohegan elders' council being sued

The elders council of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is facing a lawsuit over accusations of improperly approved membership applications.

According to The New London Day, the dispute centers on members enrolled after the tribe gained federal recognition in 1994. The paper says at least 115 members are affected.
