Alaska Native corp. sues for fire

An Alaska Native village corporation has filed a $27 million damages lawsuit for a 2001 fire.

Toghotthele Corp. of Nenana alleges Golden Valley Electric Association and its subcontractors did not adequately stop the Fish Creek Fire. The corporation claims damages to 31,644 acres of corporation-owned land.
