Bison prices plummet and ranchers exit

Prices for bison have dropped to $300 a head and below, down from a high of $3,000 a few years ago.

Ranchers are leaving the buffalo business as bison meat goes unsold. There are just too many bison, about 400,000, in existence these days, The Wall Street Journal reports.
