Idaho tribe changes reservation burn plan

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho has dropped a controversial component of its smoke management plan.

The tribe said it wouldn't require farmers to remove stubble before burning crops. In a document filed in federal court regarding a lawsuit challenging reservation burning practices, that provision was removed.
