FRIDAY, JULY 12, 2002 Tribal members on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming plan to create an irrigation or conservation district to set their own water rights rules. The tribal members hope the district would prevent the state from making decisions about their rights. The state already decides non-Indian disputes. The reservation is home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes. Get the Story:
