The Navajo Nation Council won't be discussing a rejected casino compact with the state during its special session this week.

The council voted 39-to-35 last month against an agreement with New Mexico. The compact was similar to ones signed by other tribes in the state.

Navajo lawmakers had concerns about ceding too much sovereignty.
