N.M. water project gets funds

TUESDAY, JULY 23, 2002 Sen. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) reported the approval of $300,000 in funds for a proposed water pipeline affecting the Navajo Nation and other users in New Mexico.
The Senate Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee approved the money for the Navajo-Gallup project. The pipeline would deliver water to the Navajo Reservation and to Gallup in western New Mexico.
